San Diego County was forced to make an attempt to get its own version of Viagra, and the state has finally been forced to do the same for its new drug. In the end, the drug's makers failed to find a safe way to get Viagra in their stores. A little while back, the FDA said it was considering a drug that could be purchased online from a drugstore that sells the drug in San Diego. The drugmaker also announced it was cutting off the distribution of some of its retail drugstores because of its plan to take a step back from its long-running drug policy.
In the wake of the FDA's decision, more than 2 million prescriptions for Viagra, another popular erectile dysfunction drug, have been issued by the state. The prescription rates for drugs have remained steady at just.
The FDA said that Viagra is the only drug with a drug benefit. Other drugs that are similar to the FDA's new drug plan include Cialis and Levitra. The FDA also said it was considering a generic version of Viagra and would give the generic version an even stronger benefit.
The drugmaker is trying to make money, and now it's hoping the FDA will give the generic version of Viagra a try.
"We are trying to make money," said Jim Mabry, president of the American Pharmaceutical Association, which represents the drugmakers.
Mabry said he believes the new Viagra drug will provide men with an easier and more convenient way of getting an erection.
Mabry said he has worked with some men who have taken the pill for years and had an erection that lasts about 4 hours. "It's a really great solution for them," said Mabry. "The only thing I've done is make it harder for them to get it."
He said he is confident that the new Viagra drug will save the day. But it is also very expensive.
Viagra, which is used to treat erectile dysfunction, is not available without a prescription. In June, the federal government required the drugmaker to start selling the drug without a prescription.
Mabry said he is looking for some motivation to make the drug more affordable. "I believe if a drug company can get its drug price down, that's what they can do," he said. "It will save millions of dollars a year on the average life of a good quality product."
The makers of Viagra have already announced plans to cut costs.
But they are still working on the drug's future. "We haven't seen a big price drop yet," said Mabry. "We are very excited to bring Viagra to the masses."
The drugmaker is hoping the FDA will eventually take action on a drug that treats erectile dysfunction.
"We're trying to make it easier for people to take," said Mabry. "We believe that the best way to do that is with a drug."
If the FDA gives Viagra an even stronger benefit, Mabry said, the drug's makers will likely want to make a drug with a longer half-life. The company has already announced it is cutting off distribution of Viagra to its retail pharmacies.
It is not yet clear what would happen if the FDA took action.
If the FDA action is successful, Mabry said, the drug could be approved for use by many other states that have similar policies.
Mabry said he was excited about the new Viagra drug's potential. "It has been a great success, but I'm not sure it will be a good idea," he said.
